The Muskingum County citizensalert 60 service allows you to opt-in to receive notifications via phone, text messaging and e-mail, based on emergency occurrences in your area. You can choose to receive notifications about emergencies that may affect your home, workplace, schools and more.
When will it be used?
This system will be used to notify you about emergent, significant and time-sensitive emergency alerts affecting Muskingum County.
Muskingum County administrators will send notifications regarding critical emergency alerts (immediate threat to safety), severe weather warnings for Muskingum County, and public safety notifications (including water, utility, fire, police, and transportation alerts). Some notifications will require you to confirm receipt of the message. If you don't confirm receipt of the message, the system will try to reach your second contact number or email, and will continue to contact you until it receives a confirmation.
